When I started out in private practice, I really struggled to start and develop my private practice. After almost being burned out a result of doing all the things myself, throwing spaghetti at the wall and praying something would stick, I knew I needed to do something else.
But then I got side-tracked for a couple of months.
There were so many shiny objects out there and everything sounded so exciting and so important.
I felt like I hadn't found the secret key yet and with all the hype that’s out there in our counselling industry, I would always feel like I wasn't not doing enough, or what I should be doing, and that I was missing out.
After purchasing my fair share of products and courses ranging form
$27 t0 $50,000 I finally realised 2 things:
1.) There is no secret trick to creating success in private practice
2.) Corporate private practice coaching and courses don’t work for every Counsellor because they are often created by people that don't work in (and don't understand) our industry
OR just because what works for their business won't necessary mean it works for yours (each private practice is unique).
